I'm allowed out tomorrow... appointment to get the Covid Vaccine. Does that qualify as getting out a bit more?

    A pass out! Nice.

Are you going the short route or longer scenic route?

If you're looking to get to the 8th led I believe you need to leave it hooked for 10days+, 7 indicates fully charged whereas 8 is after monitoring the battery over days with small drain down and brief top ups, I only found this out myself after ~20years as actek user and after forcing myself to actually read all the manual, as we noticed that our battieris never seemed to get above 7, the only time we did was after being away for a couple of weeks withthe car left on the cteck.
Leave it on for 2weeks and see wheres its at.

Spot on i only found out when i put a battery on charge that i didn't need so was left on in my shed for a year.
With a power cut it was on 7 when i looked at it one day but the next time it was on 8 so i then got the book out of the box lol.

Reading the user manual does help.:)

I’ve only ever used mine to charge the battery, not left connected to ‘maintain’ the battery.

Not to be left out, I just popped the Macan back on charge. It’s forecast to hit minus 8degs C here tonight and given she hasn’t moved since coming back from the dealer last Friday, I thought I’d be kind to her....

I started mine today for the first time in 2 weeks - started first turn of the key [as it should with an almost new battery fitted]. :whistling: Then went on to dig the car out in preparation for my trip out tomorrow.

'Twas -15 here last night, with a balmy -12 tonight , but at least there's no more snow forecast for a day or two.

    Hope tomorrow goes well John.

-15, that's a bit nippy. We only went down to about -8.

In deepest darkest Aberdeenshire, we had -11ºC last night and we're already at -8ºC at 18.40 tonight.

This is looking like it might well be the coldest night of the year so far.

I have a Covid vaccination coming up later in the week so it's just as well I have a fair amount of the genuine BMW -63ºC screen-wash in the tank as the Halfrauds Berry flavour only goes down to -10ºC even at full 100% strength,

I checked today with a hydrometer and the the mix I have right now is good to approx -30ºC

The Halfrauds stuff does have a lovely tropical smell though - I might even try it with a drop of Tanqueray later.
