Ok. Where to start? How happy would I be with an England team picking up the World Cup on home soil? Truly ECSTATIC! Do I think it's likely? Well, as things stand I still hold some hope that England will take full advantage of playing at home and win the tournament but they'll need to improve. Ireland tomorrow will be a stern test but I really do think playing at Twickenham in world cup matches proper will be the real indicator of how they'll perform going forward. Anyone got any thoughts?
It's a tough group but I am confident we can beat both Australia and Wales - with hopefully the Aussies going home early. I was in Cardiff in February to see England beat Wales - only home nerves will stop a repeat result After the group stage some luck may be needed to get the final
I think you've got that right but hopefully home advantage will help a lot. Possibly the best bit of luck would be a (not serious of course) injury to George/Webber/Youngs so we can call up Hartley...
Is Hartley between bans at the moment.? How many of the England team are English,[in the way of being born in country] I see talk about changing the current system to stop teams bringing players from abroad for 3 years living qualification. This comment is relevant to a number of country's team. All the home teams are starting to suffer from a shortage of our own players coming through the ranks, and being kept out by foreign players.
The England Rugby World Squad (31 in total) only has 3 what I would call none English players - the Vinupola brothers and Brad Barritt.
I'm not into rugby but obviously want England to do well. However I don't see the need for road restrictions where I live which is at least 6 miles from Twickenham.
