    Hi,
To change the battery is it just a case of removing the old one and connecting up the new one , or does it need coding in. Car is 2001 reg 2.2 litre. At present its OK but getting old so changing it as a precaution measure.

Won't need coding, just a straight swap on our older models.

You might need your radio code if its on your Z3, some did and some didn't

On the e39, all I lost were the the radio pre-set stations. - not sure about the Z but I suspect it'll be likewise? :cautious:
