Good to see another well known BMWLand member joining the forum. Welcome along to the discussions. Peter
Thanks guys, collected both cars within the last couple of weeks so not many pics. In fact I haven't taken any of the F20 but I did manage to spend a few hours cleaning the wife's this week. And one of the Sunday best
Thanks, quick pic of the 125d, the more I drive this the more I like it. The engine is superb and the auto box always seems to be in the right gear, bit lively in the wet though .
Yeah, it's different to the original though. Seems much darker than the E36 M3 I lusted after as a 16yr old.
Nice fleet you have yourself there. I've said it before, but those 1ers are superb. Our 118d was no slouch and the 120d I'm looking after currently is an absolute peach with the 8ZF box - can't imagine how swift the 125d must be with a bit of a prod of the right pedal. BTW - I have a nice set of winters on 16" steelies if you fancy them? ;) Would need to check they fit the 125d calipers but only had 5k wear on Conti WinterContact TS830s.
Wish I'd joined a fortnight ago Spuffington, I've already bought a new set of steels and winters just last week.
LOL, Spuffington do you notice the engines quite noisy in the auto 120 at say 1500-2000 rpm when just gently touching the throttle ? I had to move some insulation when fitting a tuning box to get to the camshaft sensor at the back of the engine and wonder if this has caused it.
To be honest, I haven't driven the 120d for a few weeks, but I'll take it out this weekend and let you know. Off the top of my head, I haven't noticed anything unduly noisey.
