    The title says it all, probably better posting elsewhere in the forum, but thought i'd try here as it's where i generally am.

    So i'd like to maybe get hold of a code reader/programmer for my late 2015 F32 430d M Sport.
    Don't really know where to start with this as a complete beginner when it comes to code readers and there seems to be a plethora of different ones out there.

    Don't really want to spend a fortune, Bimmercode seems to be highly praised, should i be looking at anything else, and if so what & what else do i actually need to get me up and running?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    I use bimmercode now instead of my laptop for coding and bimmerlink for reading & reseting codes with an Iphone, so you would have to purchase both along with a decent bluetooth adapter or cable connection. I have both and find the cable connection to be excellent and safer to use. All in all total cost would be around £100 which is well worth it for what you get. Remember the F30 needs an ethernet cable with an OBD plug on it for connection. Everything required can be purchased on Amazon except the apps.

    Cable:

    I have a Carly Adaptor.

    Does what I need it to but it’s the cable cost and then an annual subscription if about £60 a year.

    Many thanks for the information,

    So if i understand this correctly, if i go the direct cable route which i'd prefer rather than having to rely on potentially dodgy wi-fi and bluetooth, all i need is:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/ENET-OBDII...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

    One of these as i'm using Android,
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ethernet-A...b6666&pd_rd_wg=7fB1q&pd_rd_i=B077KXY71Q&psc=1

    No need to get the Bluetooth adapter if i'm going wired ? I was looking at the OBDLink MX+ from here https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_OBDLINKMX.html as is cheaper than Amazon.
    Then all i need is the full Bimmercode license?

    All in that's less than £70, so very happy with that, i don't intend to dive really deep into coding, however, i might look at coding enhanced bluetooth, which is about the only option i haven't got.

    Thanks again for your suggestions and help, very much appreciated.

    No need for the bluetooth adapter, I would use the wired connector as it will be more reliable.
    Seems a bargain for under £70, all the reviews I have seen for bimmercode are positive especially when using the wired option...
