    F6C166EA-0DC9-49B0-9802-7B56992833B9.jpeg Hello,

Sorry in advance, I’m new to this group - especially if this seems like a dumb and previously answered question.

I’m looking at defuser and silencer options to change the look of the car (enhanced profile).

Can anyone recommend or suggest what type and where I can get the kit from please.

I’d like it to look similar to the attached photo - any ideas please?

    Marc

You’ve got a few options there.
Plenty of aftermarket rear diffusers, you would need to buy either a 440/435 version with the twin exits or the M4 version as shown in the pic.
Then you’d need to go to an exhaust specialist and have them build you a new system, there are some available off the shelf, depends how handy with a spanner you are.
I bought an eBay rear diffuser for my 440i, took a little fettling but fits fine. After and before pics:

Ordered the cobra exhaust @Wynne71 and the quad diffuser, thanks for recommending.

I’ve noticed that their carbon exhaust tips are pricey @£159+ per pipe.

Do you know of any other carbon ends that would fit the cobra set? Im not keen on the price and the don’t give dimensions for the exhaust tips, just the central connection diameters only

    Any idea mate?

I’ve no idea I’m afraid. I ordered the official BMW black chrome tips on my standard exhaust, so knew they would fit.

Does the Cobra come without tips?

Hope you’ve got a garage to do the job, think it needs cutting the standard exhaust to fit the Cobra. They do get decent reviews to be fair.

Which diffuser did you go for? 340/335 or the M3 version?

Look forward to the pics when it’s done.

Looking back at the ad I like the standard chrome look tips that come with the exhaust.

I’ll definitely post a photo - no problems at all. Also, thank you again for the reply.

I’ve had a chat with a local body repair specialist who also likes to tinker with low-level modifications, he’s agreed to do the work for me. I got the quad 335 diffuser as I think it suits the profile of the car better.

photos to follow in late June mate

That is a cracking upgrade. Does it sound any different? Any issues with fitting?

Cheers mate, but sorry to disappoint, I didn’t fit the diffuser/exhaust myself - I only changed a few bulbs and emblems, the hard work was done by a local specialist.

The cobra modification is cosmetic over performance, so no real difference tbf.

I can’t thank you enough for the recommendations though - perfect advice
