Does anyone know what type of bulb I need to replace the angel eye bulb on a pre LCI E61. Drivers side has gone and given the faff getting the holder and then the bulb out, I would like to have the replacement ready to put in!

Im not bothered about changing to LED or anything and would like to change the bulb rather than the expensive route of doing the holder.

    Thanks!

I believe it’s easier changed taking headlamp out - Part no 2

Though I recall changing just the bulb, the wattage was not readily available

Yeah a tricky one to change for sure. Done quite a few and easiest way is long handled pliers and some slim fingers.

I was going to whip the headlight out - only four screws (two of which just need loosening) and wont affect alignment. I cant see me getting my hands in there!

I ordered these yesterday - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185910361721 hope they will be right.

Did a full service on it yesterday - all filters and oil... gosh that air filter is a pain to get to! Gearbox and front suspension bushes get attention next. Just waiting for my jacking bean to arrive for the ramp... The wheels free beams are too high to use on the BMW and really meant for cars with beam axles.

Also meant to say, have a look at the orientation of the old one when you remove it as they go in one way round
