I think they work due to the met grey colour. Independant Porsche dealer (pm me for details) Well respected on porsche forums. Helps that the cars are serviced/prepared by porsche independant known personally by a family member. Serviced by them 5000 miles ago when the last owner bought it. An old retired police officer who sold it back as he wasn't using it enough. Truly showroom condition (garage queen)
That's the conclusion we came to. Sell her Merc, the X3 becomes the daily use vehicle (for which it is easily suitable/practical) I take the train into London/work from home. Therefore no point in buying her the planned X1 at circa £26k, and a bigger budget for a nice weekend toy. Full write up next week on delivery
That is a very nice “pair” of Porkers The grey looks very nice and wheels really compliment the looks Can’t help think that this thread has changed from a weekend toy to mid life crisis thread, but that just my jealousy, I do hope you enjoy! I think if I was in your circumstances, I would be looking to sell the tv, open up the sitting room window aperture, move out the coffee table and sofa, drive in the porker and find myself quite contented by sitting on a stool / driving seat and making car noises all night, whilst staring at the lines. Would certainly beat prime tv
@pinewood That looks a great car in fantastic condition Looking forward to the write up and would also be interested in knowing who the dealer is. Enjoy the car! I like BMW's but nothing beats a Porsche
Yes the budget topped £20k in the end, and it was absolutely a mid life crisis, bucket list, life is too short purchase. I'm not religous or especially spiritual, but everything from car, dealer, funds and life decisions aligned on a cosmic level to make this possible. We certainly needed a lift, with other life events of last few years not being great, but life really has turned around, and the weather is going to be great next weekend .... I may be topless!
So, there's a cheque in the post to cover the "I sowed the seed" element of the purchase price. @pinewood As the others have said, that looks the business and am looking forward to your FULL report.
Enjoy your drive home, you will have a sore face from the beaming grin all the way back. Take a hat as the sun is brutal with the roof down.
He's probably still out there, having such a good time in the new Boxster that he hasn't come home yet.
