A friend recommended that I try this TurtleWax Magic.

As there are a few barely perceptable swirls on the front panel/spoiler, and also because EuroCarParts have a special offer on at the moment meaning it only costs £7.99 for a 500ml bottle, I thought that I'd give it a try

It comes in various colours, but of course I bought 'Ultra Blue'.

Very easy to apply and buff up.

It's Magic stuff right enough - now I can't see the swirls even when close up.

I don't know how long the effect will last and/or if it will disappear with the next snowfoam.

However I do know one thing - I used a small cheesecloth pad to apply the polish and my hands are now blue - a very pretty shade of blue mark you - which is resisting my best efforts with nailbush and Fairy Liquid.

    Anyone else tried it?

I used Colour Magic many moons ago on a black Alfa 159. The car had bad swirl marks, small stone chips and generally poor paint, especially along the leading edges. This stuff, and the Colour Magic stone chip “lipstick” (can’t remember its actual name!) did a grand job of covering up and bringing the paint to life. Will have a look and see if I can find some photos.

Chip-stick was the name! A good product for covering lack lustre paintwork. I gave it a coat of AG sealant after, tried to keep it looking decent. However, it did wear off after a few washes. Looked good after a few hours of elbow grease:

This type of product is full of fillers - as said they look good but only for a few washes, then the swirls/scratches reappear.

The only way to get rid of swirls is to give it a mop with a rotary or DA and a fine cutting compound then lock it in with a good wax, more labour intensive tbf. As said, products like this (including Autoglym SRP) have fillers so will fill and look great but only for a few washes.

I've tried the Colour Magic before, while it did look good quite a bit of effort was needed. The scratch claims I thought were a bit misleading, didn't seem to do too much.

I tend to find as with all this kind of stuff - shampoo, waxes, snow foam etc. If you like it you like it then go with it. I love Meguiar's stuff! But will happily try others. Meguiar's is my go to!

But no denying it looks chuffing good!
