hello gyus thank you...Wynne71 your friend he is right, it is one of the best ! i am proud to live here! i think europe is the best place to live, i like London,Amsterdam,Vienna and Stockholm, but the weather in Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki in summer with these wonderfull beaches around makes it magical!

as for the pictures of my car, i have to do some paintwork from a small crush i had a while ago at the back door and i will post it with fresh paint .its white though nothing special!

Good evening all, thought I should finally post after being a long term lurker. Site is great for info.

Have had BMWs for 9 years now, starting with an Individual Le Mans Blue E46 320ci for 4 years, followed by a Black F20 M135i that only lasted 14 months before the itch to buy an F87 M2 became too much. It’s just about 4 years old now, and very much a weekend car these days.

Bonus points for anyone who recognises the location of the picture!

I have been there before but my own memory is about 30 years old now…..
Always fancied an M2 but always thought the interior let it down… I’m sure it’s absolutely great though….. ?but personally I would have never got my mrs to accept it…( as we share cars) so it we ended up keeping our 6 series until the X5 came along…

I didn’t fully enjoy the M135, it was the pre-facelift, I didn’t think it looked as good as the E46 Coupe, and although it was ridiculously fast, it never handled very well. When I realised the M2 was within my budget, I didn’t hesitate to make the jump.

Yes N55 in my M2, last of the standards before the competitions came out with the S55. Interior of M2 is similar to the standard 1/2 series M sport. Has all the spec I need, but agree, nothing special to stand out as an M car. Test drove an F82 M4 Competition earlier this year and it wasn’t much different to my M2.

Well done ASUK - it’s the location where James Bond is standing with M in skyfall. About 2 miles off the A82, just south of Glencoe.

Thanks and yep. I love it clean. I think its A52 colour code. I think I've heard it called Mistral grey too somewhere.

I am an interloper from another forum that someone fat fingered during an upgrade and took it offline a month or so ago

 

A52 paint code is Space grey

I just started a 'What did you do to your F10 today' topic as I couldn't see that one existed already on this Forum.

 

l have never driven the F10 but did own a E60 520D ten years ago and drove the G30 520D at a BMW launch event in 2016 and that was the first of the X drive 5 series and l loved that car

 

I'd never driven a BMW before this one bought about a year ago after opting out of the company car scheme.
I now understand the appeal and the way they drive.

We just came back from a 2000 mle round trip to and fro Italy last month, via Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxomburg, down through Germany and Austria, up over/through the Alps/Dolomites and down to Venice. Car was sublime including 100mph crusing across Germany on the autobahns.
Even with the 100mph jaunts we got 45 to the gallon.
Amazing
