Always been a 'Field Marshal' man myself :)

    Kindest Regards
    Carl.

Mind you Porsche did some nice ones, as did Lamborghini.

Ah, the old Field Marshall, known as a 'popper' in my early childhood. I was more into the original Track Marshall.

Personally, my first wheeled tractor was a Ferguson TEA 20, (petrol only) model, we bought it for £12 when I was 15-years old. My uncle used to farm with a TVO model, I remember first "having a go" at 12-years old. I was really a Fordson man, father bought a Fordson E27N Hi Major (TVO) to replace the "Fergie", as the Fordson had a front loader. Then we moved on to a 'proper' tractor, a diesel Fordson Major.

Massey 35 still popular over here. Brother still has "our" TE20 and MF65. 65 is same vintage as yours truly the grey is somewhat older. Those were the days.....long sunny summers cutting grass with the red setter keeping me company. Now I'm just a grumpy fart like the rest of you lot ;)

There was a load of stuff made in an effort to survive but not tractors as far as I know Peter - but they made 'Dixi' vans in 1929 & 30 - there were bicycles in 1945 as well as pots and pans and cutlery from all the post war reduntant aluminium aero-engine castings.

There was a 6X4 'thing' in the early 40's which technically you could call a tractor as it was used for towing guns among other things - but it wasn't an agricultural tractor as such.

Some of it is a bit of nostalgia. By the time I was in business and working with the farming community, (late 1970's) and making equipment for them, many were leaving the British built tractors and into Deutz and Fendt.

vintage tractors are very popular around mid wales and their owners love taking them out on road runs and to the village shows, A good friend of mine sadly now passed away asked me to do some pictures for a tractor club that he was a member of

one of my photos was given pride of place on the autumn 2016 friends of ferguson heritage magazine, it was the full back page with no text just my picture in all its glory, it was a picture of 60 grey fergies brought together to celebrate the 60th birthday of the TE20
