    That is, erm, interesting.

I was surprised at BMW releasing the press cars in new/bold colours for the M3/4. Given the noise around the grills (M4) I thought they would mute the colour choices. Total opposite it seems. Brave.

BMW are certainly not bashful about the new look.

I'm more traditional in car design, but must say the M3/4 is a bold move which I like. More so than the 4-series grills.

E60/61 were ahead of their time, look pretty good in today's car fleet.

The problem for BMW, they get bashed for being too radical, but also when they don't evolve enough. Can't really win.

Reading a few comments from users getting the new 4-series. They say they are getting more positive comments about how the cars look, than they have ever had before while running a new BMW.

Perhaps BMW know more about the current market base, than some of us old stick in the muds.

Don't forget the challenge for some of us, even trying to get in them.

Seats look like part of the Carbon Pack and are not the standard seats. Certainly the case in the M3 that Harry Metcalfe drove recently online in Harrys Garage. He says they're very comfortable once in them but it is a bit a palaver getting in and out.

I’ve seen two 4 series on the roads. A white 420d MSport and a grey 420i MSport. Look much better in real life.
Not 100% convinced on the proportions yet mind, rear overhang seems huge, and even the big wheels look too small.

I hate the colour and this coming from someone that owned a phoenix yellow E46 M3 lol

For some reason I really do not like the side profile of the M4, the M3 as a design looks far better to my eyes. Also lets wait and see how the side bolsters on the carbon pack bucket seats look after a year or two. My betting is they will look absolutely knackered - and as for the appendage :rofll:

I have kinda spec'd a config on an M3. Brooklyn Grey, kyalami orange and black interior with orbit grey matt double spoke 825M wheels. No laser lights or carbon buckets etc. If the dealers start offering superb discounts to offset the woeful GFV then I could be interested.

But if that was the only colour and shape BMW offered then I would never consider another M again

And why on earth do BMW insist on putting pirellis on their Ms. I had them on my M5 and they are shocking. MP4S are incredible and totally show up the pirelli rubbish.

Sometimes something bold looks better in the flesh. Alas - in my eyes at least - SP doesn’t. I have seen one on a number of occasions and you just wouldn’t.

It will be interesting to see how many are around once the demo cars are sold off.

IMO it needs a much darker colour just to camouflage those front grills. A dark metallic grey or blue?
