Sorry to read of the damage and wish you luck in pursuing any further action against the organisers. On the car front, I'm delighted for you. Thanks - I have experience of dealing with insurance claims coming in so have tapped up my former advisors and they are going to present my case on a no win no fee basis - and they fully expect me to win!
Sadly in this day and age, you might only get somewhere with photos etc and if anyone else had an issue. Sadly in this day and age nobody cares and nobody thinks these days. It's the "it's not my job" mentality. It comes down to zero hour contract and minimum pay. The mentality minimum wage minimum input, pay me a decent wage get something extra out of me. Very sadly that seems to be life now.
That was indeed the first response, should have told x, no one else has complained, you should have checked. I've sent them photos, will get the quote for repairs later this week and the claims specialists will point out their failings and why that makes them liable next week....and believe me having been on the end of some of these claims and know how hard it is to provide a satisfactory defence!
