Someone knocked my driver side wing mirror off. The motor still works but the mount area is broken.

Is it possible to buy parts cheaply, or do I need a whole unit from BMW? A new mirror unit including motor has been ordered for about £500.

Seem a lot to me and hope there is an easier solution

    Thanks

Cotswold are very good on prices , but ,
I have found Quarry Motors very useful for this kind of part.

I'd be looking a second hand part. Are they power folding? If so they can be a bit harder to source.

I assume it isn't an insurance job, so I would look on Ebay. There is also another specialist BMW breakers near Gloucester - whose name escapes me at present, but they are also very good, they are based in Coleford, try Googling it. If I can remember the name I will post it later.

The breakers I mentioned above is called FABDirect, and they are based in Cinderford nr Gloucester, not Coleford as I said - sorry about that, it has been a while since I have contacted them! Very helpful people, and the prices are reasonable too, well worth a look for your door mirror.
