Just an update from me - I chased and they said they will repair under warranty - booked in last week (they had it from Mon to Fri), collected Friday and all done. People ask me if my car is ok now, I have to explain there wasnt that much wrong with it but it was worth getting it done to avoid potential future issues. So thanks for the information - I'd have not noticed it otherwise!
Good result. Just keep an eye on it now. Mine is back in having the same door repainted again as the rust can back and it has appeared on two of the other doors since Jan. They are repainting all four now.
Do you still have the car and if so did the 2nd attempt actually fix the problem, and do you know how they painted; was it as per the bmw spec door only or did they blend in to adjacent areas to mask any colour/finish missmatches to the orginal?
