Grab a coffee and biscuits, settle down in a comfortable chair and read the thread. Really feel for Spuff, not the best out out comes thus far.

Good to see you back Ian,
somewhat dissappointed to hear you felt you needed a break, I must be a bit naive as I've always felt this was a happy site with none of the playground antics of some of the others.
Wish you hadn't mentioned the Alpina thing!
Mine is all specced up on the configurator ready to go. 'Just waiting for those numbers to come up!'

    Kindest regards
    Carl.

Yes, more dealer incompetence than actual faults with the car. The problems started when they changed the gasket on the gearbox, it never drove the same afterwards. So they just randomly changed parts as there were no faults showing, ‘computer says no’. In the process they broke my sunroof, broke the fuel rail and broke a piece of trim inside the rear of the car, each time said nothing. Many times it went to the dealers only for them to say it had no issues on the test drive, but it kangarooed as soon as I pulled off their forecourt.
The last straw was when I renewed my Porsche connect subscription for a year (£130) and I only received 11 months as I paid one month early, it took me 4 months of constant phone calls and emails to receive the extra month I had paid for. I even threatened them with legal action, but they did not even return calls or answer email. Just appalling service.

I’ll have to read Spuffs posts as I’m sure he has well documented the issues on here. Maybe a similar issue with the PDK gearbox.

Carl, it was just one member, he seemed to constantly have issues with me. The same person who slated me for ditching the run flat tyres, then a few months later ditched them himself. He then had a drunken slur whilst on holiday and tried to delete the posts afterwards, then whenever I mentioned Porsche he seemed to have a vendetta.
Hopefully in the past now as I am told he’s not been online for a while.
No issues with anyone else, I wouldn’t have been here since April 2007 otherwise.

    Now, that Alpina........

Hi Ian, aye still hanging on :thumright:. Looks like I'm ahead on the count, but you've had 'time out' - not that the number means anything
