You're fortunate with your weather (so far this year), but I understand that Winters help with emergency braking too - luckily I've not had to put them to the test yet....
Nice! My SL55 has 8 pots on the front so has two sets of pads for the front brakes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My best friend prefers the touring or T model in MB speak. But regardless, enjoy the V8 whilst you can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Whereas mine prefers the saloon so she can join me in the car...never really liked being in the boot of the SQ5 but loves the front footwell now... Although it’s hard to enjoy the V8 when she is anywhere in the car!

I’ve had my winters on now for 8 days, hoping for some bad weather as it’s been ok down South for the last week. I don’t much like to look of the winters, even though they are 20” they look small compared with my 21” summers. Went from this: to this:
Had a courtesy car for 3 days this week as I needed a new Adblue injector. They gave me a £90k Cayenne hybrid. Very strange driving at 70mph in complete silence, however, overall I only managed 16mpg over the three days. Great smooth ride though, even on 21” wheels, and went like a rocket (440bhp) Not a big fan of the centre console and the Audi gear lever.
16mpg and it’s a hybrid?? Ouch. I’m assuming the hybrid part is for two reasons: 1. Meeting congestion’s charges 2. Going even faster.
Admittedly this was on the M25 once the battery was depleted and the car only had 28 miles on the clock as it was literally days old, so it will probably improve. Still not good though.
I think that only plugin hybrids will give better mpg on fairly short commutes, providing they are regularly charged up. The only advantage of a self charging hybrid is to avoid charges in low emission zones. They are overrated IMO.
Another disappointing update. The Macan was back in the workshop for two days last week having a new sunroof seal. Straight forward job that resulted in them completely breaking the mechanism and now need a complete new sunroof cassette. The seal was only slightly lose and I could have fixed it myself if I hadn’t payed for the warranty. Now I have a sunroof that I cannot use for the foreseeable. Saying that, we can’t go out anyway, so does it really matter. On the plus side, they gave me this to use for two days.
