So decided to bite the bullet and pay £30 for the above app on IOS. In addition to buying the lightning to ethernet adapter from amazon for my iphone I already have an ethernet to obd cable. I usually code via ESys but find the whole process somewhat time consuming and clicking in the wrong place with everything in german can cause a nightmare:yikes: + having to carry a laptop to the car and watch its battery charge while coding is a pain.

So a quick review and in 1 word the app is fantastic I coded all I needed in 5 mins and whats more the app does a full back of each module coded so you can always revert back if required. Most of the common functions ( start stop off, folding mirrors, etc etc) are in the easy to navigate menu with either non active or active to selected. (although an expect menu is also availble on the app in german if you need it which you won't!) . You then hit code and its done, the app also cleans up any fault codes left behind. This I can confirm is correct as I ran a full diag with ISTA after coding and the stored fault codes were zero.

So all in all well worth the money and the app will work regardless of the car's i level unlike ESys where you have to update the PSdZdata if your car gets a dealer update. In addition ESys is becoming more and more complicated to get running as the tokenmaster doesn't always allow free full use so you need to get a token and activate it each time I believe and the latest laucher is a pain + it prefers to run on windows 7 on a standalone laptop if possible.

If this guys diag app is as good them it might be worth investing in although it is another £30 but then a dealer diag is 30 mins labour which is now £75+vat at my dealer:yikes:, so for £60 + the cable £7 and adapter £14 you are completely setup and it's still cheaper than the dealer diag cost! However as I already have a full working version of ISTA I will contiune to use that on my spare laptop.

Hope this helps if anyone was considering the app

    Cheers

Only thing I haven't got is the art work. Any ideas why??

I completely agree that BimmerCode offers a user-friendly approach to coding. However, it's crucial to ensure you have the latest firmware for optimal functionality. Additionally, some users encounter limitations when using Bluetooth for streaming, often tied to vehicle settings. For a deeper dive into features, limitations, and best practices with BimmerCode, I recommend checking out this detailed review https://yarkoweb.com/tools/bimmercode-app-review/. It provides valuable insights that can enhance your coding experience.
