2 Tone paint

What is it? In my mind it's a paint that changes colour on perspective. Now a lot of car companies it seems to be spray the bonnet, roof and boot in one colour and the rest in another. They call it 2 Tone?

 

In my mind two-tone is a paintwork that is of two colours on the same car. Paintwork that has a changeable tone in varying lights is called pearlescent. Well, so I think.

Not so good! What colour goes down on the V5?

 

I’m sad enough to know this the Golf and Polo were actually sold in those colours as a “Harlequin” special edition.

 

My first thought when I read two tone was:

Good lord no. I just remember the launch and wondering why on earth anyone would buy one.
