I’d look more into the charge air temp sensor and egr fault codes, check the readings are correct and plausible and egr operation is correct. If it fails try disconnecting the maf sensor to force default values and see how it then runs.

The glow plugs won't be your problem.

You could also disconnect the vacuum line to the EGR (you then must plug the end of the vacuum line with a small bolt or similar) and see how that goes. You will get an emissions warning on the idrive but the EGR will be disabled. I suspect your EGR is clogged up. You can unclip the big fat air pipe going to it and have a peak inside. There's a flap (that's the throttle valve) and a plunger on the side which is the EGR valve. Google to get some images of what a clean and dirty one look like.

Don't drive too long (hundreds of miles) with an EGR fault or the EGR unplugged because that will prevent DPF regens (if your car has a DPF).

Did you get it mapped locally ??? they might have seen this problem and have the answer.
Some bmw faults are very misleading i have found telling you one part and it is something else.

I think you've got to fix the temperature sensor fault. The EGR when unplugged will generate a fault code but the car will run fine and won't cut out.

Changing anything else with fault codes like that present is likely to get more expensive and not fix the problem.

However....there is one sensor you might want to consider. The crank sensor. They don't often give fault codes but will cause problems starting or make the car cut out. It's behind the starter motor (which is a pain to remove). The genuine BMW parts are made by Bosch. Sometimes you can get a decent OEM one for £15 otherwise they're around £50 for Bosch.

The engine management light and emissions warning will be present until the EGR fault is fixed but the car will run fine (apart from DPF regens). If the EGR is clean (and you can manually activate the valve with a vacuum pump) then the problem is a vacuum leak or blockage.
