Joy to the world - a new small BMW sports car with an acceptable front end and a screaming in line 6 petrol. Somebody somewhere must be listening. I bet that M240i xdrive goes like stink with the B58 374bhp engine. https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/all-models...EQbA9Y5j5wwp_rKsR0a0Kj_Ta3YtyCz17UOaA5IBHzzzI
Love it. Might be the next car in a few years, I can’t quite get to grips with the new 4 yet. 4.3 to 62? BMW being conservative again.
Hallelujah, I even like that purple colour! Apparently it's called 'Thundernight Metallic.' Lol, whatever!
Hmm. The rear end isn't easy on the eye: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=1941193
Agree the back ends of most BMW's seem rather complex - like many modern BMW's the back end looks better in white on the configurator. It doesn't look as bulky or awkward as the 4 series. I like the muscular 3/4
Dreadful dials, but at least the info screen doesn't look like an afterthought. No decent leather option, nor and appropriate gearbox. It's supposed to be an M car. So I added a few extras, and it came out at £51390. Someone's taking the proverbial.
Love that! The colour reminds me of an E46 330Ci which parked up next to me at Elms Cambridge back in the day......my beautifully detailed Sapphire Black 330Ci looked completely insignificant in comparison. I'm a big fan of the colour. Also great they're retaining the I6!
Yes there used to be a popular individual colour in the 90's called Techno Violet which is very close to this
Think that was Velvet Blue - I had an Orient blue E39 530i and it was just dark blue iirc Velvet Blue E39
Roger, I remember seeing an E46 in Barons that looked purplish and had a light interior. Looked quite smart at the time.
They had lots of great individual colours around in those days. Mora Metallic was lovely, a purple but with more red in it. Santorini Blue was another favourite in an E36 or 46 coupe. Edit - Mora Metallic E38 M5 touring in Santorini
I’ve been on the configuration and built mine. Comes to £52K or there abouts, ouch, I shall wait two years and buy one when its lost 40+%. Looks great: But then………. What is the problem..?? Are BMW setting out to produce cars that have either an ugly front or an ugly rear..??
