The bit that makes it really weird is that I have noticed it much more in the evening than the morning, but I can’t say it absolutely hasn’t been an issue in the morning.

I suspected maybe a broken coil spring as the creaking is coming from above the offside wheel. Further investigation this morning reveals the below

Been getting it for three or four days now.

I've checked that nothing is left on that could drain the battery overnight.

Voltage before start-up is 13.7v
Engine running voltage is 14.7v

So to me all is OK.

The car starts with no hesitation and for the rest of the day there is no problem or warnings at all.

I've done a fault code scan and get the following:

I bought 2010 E89 last week. Drove 120 miles home 60 to 80mph: no issues.
Removed all four wheels for refurbishment. Car left on four axles stands and two jacks under central jacking points for 6 days where the rain poured onto uncovered brakes and hubs! Whilst wheels were away I painted hubs and edge of discs with Hammerite paint.
The repainted, rebalanced and straightened wheels with same the tyres were refitted by me with same wheel bolts.

Mine is a 2017 G30 520d x drive, it is on 18 inch runflats and when new i specified the "space saver" spare wheel as an option...it is my car we use on longer journies / trips away.

The wife has a 2018 X1 also on 18 inch runflats. But no space saver....it was an "in stock" car when she bought it

Following this weeks unfortunate puncture scenario with the X1 it got me thinking.

Would it be possible in an emergemcy to fit the G30 space saver to the X1...

It appears that rodents of some sort have been chewing the wiring below my f07. A local indy took a look but didn't have the expertise to repair it and also said that there is no repair loom for that part of car.

It still drives OK, but theres faults with the ABS, DSC, parking brake, cruise control, driving modes etc.

They tell me the seal can't be replaced, so the entire unit has to be replaced. They've quoted £3,825.02 to replace it. This estimate is mostly made up of parts:

And that the trigger for the relay comes from the Junction Box Electronic box (JBE), given this non intrisically testable set up, if it hasd a (sensibly)...
