So, a bit different from my usual ownership threads given its a vastly different vehicle from most on here too.

My latest work car is a 2024 E300 e estate. First car I have had which is a plug-in hybrid. Lovely car, colour is questionable as the interior is a lighter version of the outside.

Every time I drive it I’m always thinking about when I have to charge it. Battery real life range is 50 miles which gets me to work and back except the last ten miles of the journey which runs in hybrid.

Lovely to drive, very expensive at £78k on the road price and this one had the hyper screen on the dash...

I just bought my first Merc!

It's a near-immaculate W211 E550 with just over 32,000 miles on the clock. It's even fitted with brand new Mercedes spec Continental tyres. The only modification is a Dynavin Android head unit.

It's quick but very refined, almost too refined I'd say. Mind you I haven't played with any of the sport settings yet!
Insurance isn't too bad either.

EDIT: It's so clean because it's a Japanese import. The two giveaways are that the speedo is in km, and also there was no E550 sold in the UK, it was...

So back in March 2014 my Mum took delivery of her current A45 AMG. Sadly a month after getting it my Dad passed away so there’s been emotional attachment to this car. She’s only done 50,000 miles in it in seven years and at the age of 68 has just ordered it’s replacement for September which is a Metallic grey A45 S AMG Plus +

Spurred on a bit by a bill of £3,000 in March for the current one and a case of thinking this might be the last new car she buys - she’s doing it in style.

Paint Blemish -

Washed the car today and came across a paint blemish that I’m going to call Rust under paint as it appear more than a nib or run...

Surprisingly, Phoned today, thinking I’d been fobbed off with “we shall have Warranty Inspector phone you back”
Within the hour the appointment was made for inspection

Corrosion or Dirt under paint...
Taken into account car is <3 months with a build date of November 2018

New Car Ordered to replace E60 - Merc

Some of you may remember from my thread on the "land" - its was time for the E60 to move on.

To cut a long story short, I finally decided to go to Merc.... a C350e

If your not familiar with the Merc's, the C350e is a 4 cylinder Plug in Hybrid producing 280 BHP, combined Petrol and EV motor ((211 +82 HP)) with a respected 0-60mph of 5.9 seconds

Order Mid May due Aug > then Sept > Oct > Nov and now 1st week of Dec

Here she is - a trusty old girl.

She's LHD - but not a personal import - bought her new from Main Dealer in Aberdeen to my spec back in 1998 - for running emergency medical supplies to war-zones ans ex-war zones in the Balkans.

5-cylinder 2.9 litre...
