At the moment we have two cars: the wife's petrol VW Polo (I can't remember the engine size, but it's 3 cyl) and an E39 530d. We generally use the Polo for short journeys around town, and the E39 for long motorway journeys (for comfort more than economy to he honest.)

But with the recent fuel price hikes, which look unlikely to improve, we are thinking about swapping to a single car, and a used 330e or 530e appear to fit the bill.

Cars amazing.

But having a bit of “range anxiety”.
Probably due to a 200 mile drive home from Hatfield to Leeds - then plugging in at home on what feels like a trickle charge - fortunately can charge 3phase at work much faster.
Hopefully that will pass as I get accustomed to not having the guarantee that I can go down to 20mile range and know I can get fuel anywhere....

Hi all, I've not been on here for a while but thought I would come back aboard with this post. The subject can raise quite, interesting, but often polarised views.

I'm going to be changing my car soon and with the ever increasing rise in the price of fuel especially diesel and the tax increases as well I am considering looking at one of the hybrid 3 series.

A simple question, has anyone out there got any experience of them good or bad to help me.
