Haven&#039;t been on the forum for a couple of years, good to see the familiar names still updating regularly! <br />

My experience on the BMWLand since 2010 has been extremely good and always had great advice from knowledgable members. <br />

I own Retro Classics in Bradford (retroclassicautomotive on IG), West Yorkshire - 80s, 90s and 00s cars I showcase and sell. We have exhibited cars at the BMW meets at Gaydon a couple of times and will be there this year too.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi, just a little bit of info surrounding my 2011 730d.<br />
After the heavy rain from the storm the other week my rear passenger footwear was under a couple of inches of water.<br />
Digging about on here I figured it was the infamous Yellow Grommet at fault. <br />
<br />
Took the plastic cover off and although the Grommet wasn&#039;t as badly degraded as some I&#039;ve seen pics of, the main culprit was the little white drain that was blocked with crud.

As can be seen from my previous topic in this section about the problems I&#039;ve had with a simple park position fault in the gearbox, my initial intention was to sell the car with the gearbox fault, which is apparently a fault within the mechatronics unit. I have another couple of cars so I don&#039;t need the 745, which I bought in 2011 and has never let me down when in use and has seen me through over 100,000...<br />

I have problems with my 2014 740D rear air suspension; both struts are deflating within 24 hours of the air pump filling them up. I&#039;ve tried to find a garage in Cheshire that has experience with this issue e.g. replacing the struts but I&#039;m having no luck!       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Will shortly be getting rid of the trusty 7 but want to fix an intermittent problem that occasionally throws up a park position fault when engaging park. I&#039;ve eliminated the gear selector stalk having substituted in a couple of known serviceable items so my thoughts are now turning towards the seals in the mechatronics unit. I&#039;ve heard this mentioned elsewhere but not exactly sure of the parts involved.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[The E60 transmission failed at 196k, so has now gone.<br />
<br />
Taking its place is a 2005 E65 730d sport in Sterling Grey with black leathers. 102k on the clock and a full SH. Got a good deal on the big 7.<br />
<br />
The Mrs really liked this 7 and it will be her daily car (I have the Z4 to keep me mobile), it&#039;s an impressive package. Looks good with the 20&quot; wheels and the grey on black combo is nice. <br />
<br />
The only downside is the fact you can&#039;t connect your phone to the car without an expensive bluetooth...<br />

The first is an E38 750i Individual, in Oxford Green Metallic with Mustard Comfort Seats <br />
<br />
The second is an E38 750iL in Sorrentbleau Metallic with Sand Beige Comfort Seats<br />
<br />
The plan is to bring both up to scratch and then enjoy them. <br />
<br />
After they have been restored I may part with the 750iL, however I plan to keep the SWB as it has my favourite colour combination and is a real credit to its former...<br />

I have a F01 model 730d on 2009 reg and sometimes when i have tried to start the car a message will come up &quot;ignition fault&quot;. I can hear a clicking noise which I think is the starter motor trying to tick over but it won&#039;t start. I will then try again and it will start. I have checked  and the battery is  fine.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I replaced the fuel filter on the Oxford Green E38 750i Individual (facelift) and noticed the fuel feed pipe from the tank and return pipe have perished over time. An attempt to start with the new filter confirmed this as the pipe and was leaking petrol. <br />

My question is, is it possible to replace these hoses with modern fuel lines? If so, does anyone know the inner and outer diameter of the fuel pipes I need and anywhere reputable I can source them? I have seen various places selling fuel...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I am currently in South Africa and am looking to,replace my E65   750i which has been an absolute delight over the last 8 years and 235,000 miles. <br />

I am surprised to discover that some of the new 7 series here are fitted with non run flat tyres and all appear to have a spare wheel! It takes up a fair amount of boot space but is a factory fitted space saver unit which can be de mounted or so I am told. I not aware of any mention of this in the UK. Curious....wonder if they could be ordered...<br />
