The Z series will be confined to history this year bowing out with the G29 M40i Z4. That's a shame but life moves on. Meanwhile the Z3 turns 30 this year, mine will be 28 this September. A 2.8 Straight Six 24v Single VANOS in Cosmos Black with extended Tanin Red Leather interior. The general concensus is that the 2.8 is the pick of the bunch (outside the S50 and S54 ///Ms), I'm inclined to agree

Are modern BMWs, and cars in general better? Of course they are, that's how progress works, however, give me an old analogue car every day (and my motorbike) for pure connected driving pleasure.

Roll on the next trip out

Visited what has got to be the very best showroom of classic cars I’ve ever seen. Some of these are auctioned, others are sold on behalf of owners. Could have spent all day here. Plus rust is not much of an issue here being a dry and salt free environment.
