    neighbour to me who has had his 530d ,56plate for a few months now is still finding his way round the car which has a great spec.btw for a 9/10 year old vehicle.
    This is his latest " discovery"and he ,and me are interested to know what it is. image.jpeg

    No quite with you there slim,no really a scew looks like a plug of some sort with a " no entry " sign on it.

    Ahhh, looked like a screw head, maybe Specsavers should be on my "to do" list. :D

    I can't get down to that level because of the cover I linked to, but it would line up with the hinge of the passenger armrest. :cautious:

    oh , i was looking at that other red thing lower down. :whistle:

    maybe its from a james bond movie, anyway, just dont go in it !!

    Don't recall it on mine.

    Interesting though.


    edit - looks like number 23 on the right side of the diagram, describe as a blind plug. (not the big number 23)

    Is it not the warning sign for not putting fingers there as the arm rest moves and nips them?
    Don't know why it's placed there as "most" people will try it!

    Memory is hazy but I'm sure that's part of the sliding armrest, Put your finger on the symbol then slide the armrest bit back.

    Yip your right, though you have to slide it back quite quickly, it activates the ambient lighting
