I rarely have time to spend washing the car, but yesterday in the bright sunshine I found a couple of hours to give the 5GT a good clean. I used a karcher power washer to rinse, then snow foam, another rinse, then the Karcher shampoo in the lance, then rinse and dry with towels. I'm very pleased with the result, especially in this light that shows up all the imperfections - I was pleasantly surprised that I still only have one stone chip and a very small scratch that polished out. Here's the results:

This is the first clean (shamefully) since I had the wheels ceramic coated on Feb 6th, the brake dust came off with just the power washer alone, no contact cleaning whatsoever:

You may just be able to see the purple speckles within the Sophistico grey paint:

    A good result I think.

Yes, that's a very good result. My car's the same colour as yours and I've managed to clean it just about every week this winter. But I've no doubt more time on my hands than you!

Wish I had mine to clean.... it’s sitting in a large car park somewhere (EGR recall anxiety) :(

That's exactly why mine hasn't gone in.

the car looks very nice, the wheels with ceramic on should be a doddle to clean and if you do have to contact wash them an old wash mitt and some car shampoo should be all that is needed

it is worrying how quick the discs flash over with surface rust after you hit the wheels with a jet wash

Very sparkly. You'd have to move quick doing a large car like that in the sun. Any plans to do the rest of the car with a coating.
