I remember heading home one Friday evening on the M6 North. 3 solid lanes of traffic up the incline past the M54 junction. I was in the outside lane approaching Hilton Park services when suddenly all the traffic ahead started swerving into the centre lane. I did the same and passed a car facing the wrong way hard up against the centre barrier. I just caught a glimpse of a woman behind the wheel staring out as if in a trance. At first, I thought she must have spun but there was no sign of debris or any damage to the car. This was just before the slip road into the services, so I think that she'd come down it the wrong way, panicked and swerved left to avoid the oncoming traffic. I did wonder later how much longer she survived before the inevitable?
There was a similar incident and the car ended up in the front of a lorry, iirc it was on YouTube recently - as well as TV.
Ahem - no one has yet spotted the real error - The error is that the picture taker is in the wrong lane. The slow lane is for lorries and people going off at the next junction only. It's much safer to use the middle lane at all times. Only kidding. ;)
no traffic ? joking - i can see the trucks side light is out Although i am asking myself what the insignia driver was drinking in the services.
There was fatal accident on the M1 in the middle of the morning a few weeks ago, 80+ year old heading the wrong way took out a van.
Hey Bob! I found if I click on the above picture I can scroll through all of your pictures. Some of them are nice!
Worryingly that's the Junction I take when avoiding traffic and I beg to believe how it's possible, allbeit at the top of the slip road is a farm entrance to the left which normally causes a rukus! with lorries from Anc freight company
