Great write up Dunc. I totally get the comments about these things "getting under your skin". Has been a year of Porsche ownership, and I'm still grinning like a child, with every drive!

Sure it will only be on par with the SL. £2500 for a service with nothing wrong...

Can't complain at BMW servicing costs. Had the major service completed this week at Lancaster and it came in at a shade under £700 (I supplied the BMW LL12 FE oil at a cost of £60)

Interestingly Barons BMW quoted me £960 if i supplied the oil ... go figure

Thankfully all factored into the ownership costs.

Expecting around £1.5k in October 2020 plus £1.9k for two years additional Porsche Approved Warranty and Recovery.

Not that it makes it any more palatable!

Case of "we pay to play"!

Pleased to read you have found a car you are really enjoying. (y)

Everything comes at a price - as long as you think the enjoyment is worth it.
Cheaper than a Porsche, but those micro-filters sound steep at nearly £250.

It's not very well laid out but that's the labour for changing the spark plugs... admittedly something that i could have easily done myself but we all know the importance of a documented FBMWSH!

Didn’t have time for a polish or sealant but finished with Quick Detailer, Trim reviver and polished the exhaust tips too.

Need to find some time to polish and seal/wax. May be able to in a couple of weeks.

She’s being booked in for rear window tints in the next fortnight.

    Still loving her! :)

Dunk, you’re not helping my bank account, just look at that rear end, is there anything on the road that comes close? I was reading the TopGear review of the new Macan today and they say not much has changed as Porsche got it so right from day one, I tend to agree. Everything else looks ordinary to me.
I hope to be an owner soon.

Completely agree Ian. I like the light bar on the facelift but love the back end of mine. Took extra pride in decontaminating around the badges to have it looking right.

Pleased to hear you’re still on the cusp. :)

Can’t imagine being without mine. Only slight issue at present is my daughter has stated getting car sick in the back on the twisties. After telling my girlfriend today she talked of the same in the front. Could be my driving (hope not as never before been the case) but need to take it a bit easier to ensure the Macan doesn’t fall out of favour with the ladies in my life.

Can’t wait to get windows tinted and to get some polish and a coat of wax on her.

    Looking good, Duncan. (y)

I've never been a fan of SUV's but the Macan styling looks so good, I could happily live with one.
I'm curious to know what it's like to drive, but loathe to go anywhere near a Porsche dealer for fear that I will not be able to resist temptation. :whistling:
