Hi to you all out there from West Lancashire.

In October 2018 purchased a 2001 (51 plate) 330i Touring (Automatic) that had seen a radio change prior to me buying it.

The car was bought from a dealer in Birmingham that I now believe had altered a few features on the car after I had been and seen it;I believe this included the head unit as he had been using it himself with a Personalised Plate on it,not the one shown in the attached image.

He also had the MV1 wheels painted Black after I had seen the car in the advert clearly showing Silver wheels and then going down to collect it on a National Express Coach.

    The interior is original.

The replacement unit was a rather cheap and extremely naff Radio/SatNav/TV.

Chinese unit the would not hold any chosen stations in the radio memory function and would not communicate with the 6 CD auto-changer in the rear of the car.

I immediately had a Kenwood DPX-5100BT installed albeit in the knowledge that it also would not communicate with the CD unit but wanted the radio/traffic report updates whilst out on the road.

How can I establish what the original head unit was for my car ?
