Nice, yes same colour as mine but mine has diff wheels. Mine is auto so not getting no 58mpg that's for sure. Not got a consistent mpg yet, I'm guessing combination of it being new and also different types of driving. Initially got up to 49 at one point, worst has been 33mpg and currently the car is showing around 40-42mpg, its just around 2.5k miles now so hopefully get a bit more worn in so hopefully will start being a bit more consistent. Mine mostly is driving in and out of London so lots of stop start traffic so hard to build up mpg as in slow moving traffic. On a run I've had it up to 49mpg and that was when I first picked it up :)

Due to mileage constraints due to pcp, I'm pretty much tied to just using the car for work now as in the agreement, i can only do 9k a year and I've already done 2.5k in 3 months so I'm right on the limit assuming mileage stays the same - Had unforeseen running around to do shortly after getting the car so hasn't helped, shame they didn't let me keep old one until March would have been fine then but oh well :)

Mine looks same as this one but mine is a 1.0 ecoboost like your loan one: https://www.motors.co.uk/car-62928271/?i=6&m=srm

I was doing fine with the car but i caught the kerb parking it the other day so have slightly damaged the edge of one of the front wheels.. soo annoying, the kerbs are extra high where i was parking, as i opened the door there is maybe 1 inch gap from the pavement.... Going to leave as is for now, might get it fixed before i give the car back, depends how it looks, atm it stand out as its fresh, it t starts to damage the wheel etc then I'll have to get it sorted sooner but its ok atm, it's only on the edge.

Can't you just change to imperial units from metric in the menu ?

I’ve been through all the menus I can find, seemingly no option. I’m thinking that as the odometer is in KMs then the rest of the settings will match.

289 miles later, mixed driving around east London and back home via the M25/1/6 and the car has averaged 53.3mpg.

Pulls well at motorway speeds in 6th, and has a good go at getting up to speed through the gears.

Forgot how comfortable 17” wheels are, especially with 55 profile tyres!

Hi all, just to update, my old car is still up for sale, looks to be taking a while to sell, I can only presume that's due to price of diesel these days and also the fairly high price they asking for it imo anyway,

Just wondering how long before they reduce the price to shift it...

Bizarrely I’m back in exactly the same Focus this week, the only difference being the display is now in miles. Odd.

The first thing I do in any/every car I drive is change the system to Metric units.

I haven't worked or thought in Imperial since 1970. :D

Except perhaps for occasionally quoting fuel consumption here on this forum.

@Kev2005 I hope you are well. I see you have your new motor, any pictures at all?

I owned a Fiesta Supersport W reg 1980 during 1990 sometime, it was stolen so didn't have it long! I hope the locks are better on the new ones!

Hi @kleynie Yes, not bad thanks, hope your well too.
Yes, did a deal with it last year but took till end of Jan to get the replacement.

Here is a online pic I found which looks the same as mine..

It's not doing too badly, have annoying caught 2 of the wheels now, first one was on a high curb as i was parking trying to get close as poss as road was a bit narrow and other one is one at the back as the car park I'm using for work is a bit tight BUT the other day they blocked of the exit so you had to enter and leave via the entrance and that one is a bit tighter so i caught the back wheel on it, just a bit - rather annoying but oh well.

Mpg is so so, due to sitting in lots of traffic (driving into London daily) it's not a really true mpg reflection. Recently I've been able to keep it above 40mpg, atm it says current tank it doing just under 42mpg. If I was to take it on a run, I suspect I'd get more as i got it up to almost 49mpg when I took it on a trip when i picked the car up with just over 100 miles left in the tank.

Hoping to try and improve the mpg if possible, car has now done approx 2.6-2.7k miles.

Glad the Porsche is going ok for you to date now, fingers crossed it continues :)

Looks very smart and in a good colour too, Kevin - from the B pillar back there's a hint of the 1Series to it, which is nice.
I'd expect your mpg might start to get better now that the engine's loosening up a bit, but London traffic must be a killer....:(.

Best wishes to you and yours.

    Hi all,

Just to update, my old 3 series is still up for sale and price not moved at all.... can't believe no one hasn't bought it, i can only assume diesel prices are putting people off it.. car has not got any road tax or MOT so would appear definitely not sold yet as opposed to ad not being taken down/marked as sold. Was expecting it to have been snapped up by someone.

Surprising given the shortage in cars. Maybe they are just being greedy with the price.

I think my X5 is still up for sale. I can't daren't dare check it as it makes me sad seeing it, but the wife checks every other day!

I expect it is the diesel prices and overall cost of living increases. It really is a bit doom and gloom on the short term outlook.

I had a look round the lots a couple of months back and a lot of the cars are still for sale, think the peak has been reached and the cost of living crisis is starting to bite, prices look like they are starting to soften, can't see a big crash as there's still a shortage of good stock but hopefully prices will start heading toward more sensible levels.

    Hi all,

Just to update, my old 3 series is still up for sale and it's almost a year ago since I sold it.... Price has dropped about £500, no Road tax or MOT showing for the car.

Difficult for dealers as they overpaid in market that was booming, cost of living crisis kicking in now and they probably aren't too keen to discount because of the silly prices they paid to secure stock, Profit and Loss isn't going to look too good but they are going to have to reduce the prices to make sure they have cash flow...
