Anyone else interested in it? Did it a few years ago and then children came along so I switched to road riding instead which I am still doing 5-6 times a week.

Went with a friend of mine in some local woods a few weeks ago on his full suspension Yeti which was great. So started the hunt to replace my hard tail which I have had for many years.

My daughter had also shown interest in it so we got her a new bike yesterday when we went biking as we hired a 24 inch bike for her to try as she is too big for her 20 inch bike so got that sorted out yesterday and she is a very happy girl.

I was idly looking on Facebook marketplace last night and found the model I wanted and this one had been purchased by the original owner and e did one test ride of about 20 minutes and then stored it in his flat for the last two years so it is as new. Picked it up today on my day off and getting it checked over before I ride it in anger. Well please with it as it works out about half the cost of a newer one which wouldn’t arrive until possibly next year.

    Cheers

    Both very nice.
I do like Whytes a more relaxed geometry that’s works well with comfort
I’ve went the opposite way, from Full suspension to Road (plus) bike, though nothing comes close to a day on the hills!

It seems nice so far. Only ridden it round the road outside my house to make sure I would as I didn’t try it before I bought it

Looks great, although I can’t comment on riding off road!
Definitely bargains to be had second hand, looks like you’ve got a good one.
I went from running to road cycling. Took it up reasonably seriously three years ago, bought a Merida Ride 300, more relaxed geometry than full road.
Bought a Giant TCR Adv Pro1 from eBay in April. Three months old and hardly touched, paid 50% of its new value. It is brilliant.

Great to get the kids into it, wish my boys had taken up my passion....

Yup, mountain biker here. Have done road riding over the years but nothing comes close the to adrenaline rush of flying down a good bit of singletrack or downhill. I pretty much grew up in Epping Forest and cut my teeth there during my teenage years. Since then I’ve ridden up Snowdon, Helvellyn and loads of trail parks around the U.K.

I ride a custom built Santa Cruz 5010c. Absolutely love it and can’t see me ever replacing it, unless it gets broken.

I built up a Whyte 19c Carbon hardtail a few years back. It was an absolute riot, but was far more capable than me (I was rather heavy at that point). I’ve also had a few Whyte hybrids too and agree with Sean, the geometry is really spot on. Think you get a lot of bike for your money too.

Enjoy yours, it looks a cracker. I had a similar buy a few weeks into lockdown when I found a similarly unused women’s Specialized full susser which I bought for my other half. It won’t get used properly in anger for a while as it’s not great for a pregnant lady, but it was such a good deal I found it difficult to ignore.

I do hope not, that was the day I face planted the gravel and took some home in my knee.
Perhaps famous for the wrong reason

I got into mountain biking recently, good bit of exercise during lockdown with a few decent trails near me.

After doing some research I got myself a Calibre Cutter 29er, decent geometry and spec and similar to the calibre two cubed, which has great reviews.

I really like the bike, a nice ride and handles well.[IMG][IMG]
