Hopefully a proper car prog unlike the current TG tripe
Thank goodness, can't wait!
Will give that a go, have set it to record. Can forward the wretched ads then.
That looks interesting - a car show about cars. Makes a welcome change.
I'll be watching, but Tiff Needell does get on my wick sometimes - arrogant bugger.
I watched 'Car Pickers' on the Quest channel last night, pretty disappointed in the overall concept - a bit like folk who write to Honest John in the Telegraph motoring section...."I'm 63 and my wife is in poor health and we need a car just to get around locally. We have a budget of £11,000 - what should we buy?" Do you own research and make a decision for God's sake!!
[Grumpy mode off ]
I saw that too, was similar to a couple of other shows that have been before, 1st guys brief was an estate car to replace an ageing Peugeot 508 estate - he had a budget of £9k was offered up a 520d m sport estate 2013, a Hyundai i40 estate and another slightly newer Peugeot 508 estate all fairly high mileage.
He drove the 520d first and you could tell he was shocked at how much better it was than the others......they tried to sell him the i40's high tech interior but common sense prevailed and he chose the 5...good result
Show was generally poor though...
Same time as the new series of Bangers and Cash on Yesterday , which I quite like , looks like the record will be getting used .
I always really liked Richard Hammonds show on Men & Motors way back when, I always tend to favour shows that are about cars that are attainable for most people, rather than constantly seeing someone like Clarkson spin out in a Bugatti.
I have just caught up on the programme, enjoyed a more detailed focus upon the actual cars.
The “new” Vicky is certainly an upgrade......
The X7 received a better review than I was expecting, but how much?!?!
Certainly beats looking at Chris Harris
Bother, forgot all about it!
I had another reason for not catching it.....the Scotland game!!
Unfortunately I found it a bit underwhelming. Maybe I was expecting too much. I shall give it another chance before I consign it to the couldn’t be bothered bin.
I watched only a 10 minutes or so - that Tiff Needless is unbearable IMHO.
Yeah he's definitely getting worse as he ages... don't remember him being that annoying years ago... or perhaps i was just more tolerant back then
As others have said, somewhat underwhelming. Ten minutes of listening to Needell was 10 mins. too much.
