The 535i sounds nice with the M Performance exhaust (MPE), but does drone a little at about 1800 rpm which equates to cruising speed. I took if off after being on for a couple of months, which is easy enough to do, but am actually missing it! This is why the modern answer is a valved exhaust rather than a straight through silencer. The MPE on my wife's M3 is something else of course!
A bit late... "welcome back". Agree how rare the 535i models are. The only 535i saloon I've seen is the one I test drove. My touring is also the only F11 535i I've seen in the metal. BTW, what do you think of Adaptive Drive? Are you finding the car pretty reliable? Mine has not been problem free, stupid things like comfort access failing and discharging the battery, (due to door handle short circuit) and rear air spring failures, which have taken the icing off the ownership experience. Still find the F11 535i a very satisfying car to own and drive. Peter
Both very nice. I actually prefer the look of the 535 out of the two of them Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi Peter. AD is great, keeps things nice and stable, albeit I wouldn't mind if Sport was firmer. Fuel consumption is a bit disappointing, albeit on a run the car is fine. Reliability has been fine, with only one service so far (only done 30,000 miles so far). One problem I did have however was with an intermittent fault on the amplifier which took a couple of attempts to find and subsequently replace it.
So, brake dust colour then Seriously though, a close up picture would be good to judge properly. Is that the same colour as the wheels on an M140, my mate has one and I like the colour.
