Advised because it is close to 1000 miles, once it gets to 1000 miles to go the warning light will come on, most people will have it done as it saves another visit so close together, the date is for low mileage cars every four years.
When I had the first EGR recall done, I checked under the bonnet when I got home and found most of the bolts on the steel crosslink were undone and a couple were actually missing. The coolant expansion bottle was also empty. A trained monkey would have done a better job. The second EGR recall was done properly, thank goodness. I vowed never to use the main dealer again, but there's not much choice when getting recalls done. It's now booked in for May to get the driver's side air-bag recall done. Let's hope that doesn't explode in my face.
Truly appalling. The average motorist wouldn't lift the bonnet after collection, first thing they'd know is when the low coolant message appears
All good on this visit all be it free after the last errors. Oil + Filter + Micro + brake fluid change all done for free along with airbag recall. Good courtsey car and all done in a day so they have somewhat redeemed themselves. However @ 164K miles it will be the last dealer visit unless it gets another recall.
Hi guys I have a question, how much would you expect to pay for this type of work form an honest mechanic, see screenshots
