I'm the first to criticise dealers but just recently my experiences have been first class

    1) My G30 was recalled for the EGR. Booked in for check EGR changed same day. G31 loan car provided

    2) Wifes X1 sufferd corrosion on one wheel. Called in when passing, quick look, confirm corrosion . New wheel ordered and replaced whilst I waited

    3) Noticed that the stitching on the knee support on the front seat on the G30 was coming apart. Called in, visual inspection by dealer 99% sure it would be covered under warranty. Booked in and new seat swab ordered. Car went in this week for the day. G 31 loan car provided.

No quibbles from the dealer or BMW warranty dept...not sure it would be so straightforward with other marques

Why not do the reverse of the usual 'name & shame' so often seen on forums and tell us which Dealership has provided such quick & painless service? Good service deserves to be rewarded.

Name and praise ( happy for mods to remove if breaking any rules)

Sandal Wakefield have looked after the G30 on both the EGR and seat base issues. Cant fault them in any way

Cooper York (supplying dealer) sorted out the X1 wheel.

We live same distance from both.

Have used Sandal on numerous times for service work previously, but whenever it comes to buying a car for some reason they haven't been competitive!

    I would stick with them...
I’ve got nothing but negatives of Sytners of Sheffield....
It’s almost like they’ve forgot what they’re meant to be doing.
Great environment and fantastic showroom.. brilliant at asking you if you want to sit down and take a coffee. But it’s supposed to be a car dealership.

So far, I've been quite pleased with my local dealer - Blue Bell at Crewe. They are now owned by the multi franchise group, Lookers, and although the customer service isn't quite as friendly and personal as when it was privately owned, it has been good up to now.

Sytners in Tamworth (used to be in Sutton Coldfield) have been excellent so far. Bought the car from them, preparation was superb. Had 2x services there and can’t fault the experience at all.

Porsche Guildford have been great to me, my car is late coming back but they phoned my first thing in the morning to explain and I have a hire car in the meantime. No complaints at all.

    Porsche.. right...
I’ve been in the Sheffield dealership 3 times in the last year, for around 20-30 mins per time.... not a single person has approached me or the wife once at any point in time in all 3 trips.. they clearly don’t think they need to try to sell anything at all....!!
The very least I would have expected was an ‘if I can help you in any way, please ask’ but not even that was forth coming.!
If a Porsche it is in the future? I won’t be returning for a 4th time... will try Leeds or Stockport.
