ECP don't supply fakes, Brembo have different lines varying in quality, their top line stuff is excellent, however they also sell lower quality components under the Brembo brand.
For one to avoid, although it could be the combination, in looking to reduce the amount of black smut the standard brakes deposit on the wheels I replaced with ATE discs and ATE ceramic pads, yes there was less black dusting but the brakes were wooden, not as confidence inspiring, and pagued with high speed vibration. My next rakes will be brembo discs and of all things pre copper reduction ebc redstuff pads, fingers crossed for comparable standard feel and retardation (or better!?) and less black dust / cleaner wheels, but this wont be for several months yet.
Thanks for all your replies, car has been serviced now, i might need some tyres in sometime, currently its having Pirelli P7 Cinturato 225/60 R17 V (99) i am also looking at Continental and Michelin what would be your recommendations
If the car is in warranty stick to BMW star marked tyres (Pirelli P7s are one, there are others) , it will ensure you have no warranty claim issues in event of a drivetrain fault. Otherwise there are probably better tyres, this is a good site for reviews https://www.tyrereviews.com/
'*' rated Michelin Primacy 3 non runflats, quite, eco, good in te wet and cold, or their Primacy 3 'ZP' runflat version ones.
