I usually use https://www.mdecoder.com/ but it says i've reached the daily limit... last time i used would have been in 2019 Are others still working?
I've been trying to solve this for some time. I too have been getting the absurd 'daily limit' nonsense or being told that my full VIN is 'invalid'. Most of the known easy, user-friendly VIN de-coders no longer work - including the ones I posted a long time back in the Data & Info section of the forum. I found this explanation: Most of the familiar VIN decoders became obsolete approx mid-2019 when BMW started reusing the last 7 characters of the VIN. Only the full VIN is now unique. Some decoders recognize this and ask you to enter the full VIN or offer to choose the correct car from the ones that match those 7 characters, others just pull the first VIN that matches. If and when anyone comes up with a reliable de-coder I'll amend / update this thread: https://www.bmwland.org.uk/index.php?threads/vin-de-coder.28/
I wanted to decode the VIN on my son’s M135i and did so by sharing the details with the BMW upgrade outfit called; https://www.bimmer-tech.net/ As a pleasant surprise, I discovered it had adaptive suspension that the previous owner didn’t know about!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve just tried this one, worked well. However, according to the decoder my car is a left hand drive.... The rest of the spec is correct though.
Under drive, My son’s car is HECK. Which made me smile. German for RWD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
