BMW e46 coupe facelift headlight reflector upgrade?

Hello, would anyone know if it would be alright to change the bi-xenon reflector unit for a new projector with low beam and high beam ability?

The headlight that I'm referring to is the one below (not mine, just used for reference). I'm just looking for more information since I can only find information of people retrofitting the pre-lci versions that didn't come with the OEM projector.

 

I'm thinking standard halogen reflectors won't give the correct beam pattern for xenon lamps.

What's the purpose of the change?

 

Sorry, I need to correct myself, when I say reflector I meant projector.

The only part I'm changing is the pre-existing outer projector beside the indicator shown below. The reason why I want to change it is so I can have the low beam and high beam in one, so when the high beam stock is turned on a plate drops allowing all the light out.

 

ah but pre LCI is a different shape headlamp slightly?

 

Yea I'm referring to the LCI coupe version which as shown in previous pictures has a projector unit, the only concern I have is regarding the projector unit - does the motor adjustments still work if the projector is changed?

 

hmm I'm going to guess no, but I've never cracked one open
