This is the worst BMW advert I've ever seen. I wonder if there is a German language version? - because I can't see this American English language version going down well in Bavaria. The concept of making fun of one's elders is not a good look. Who on earth scripted this and more importantly who approved this. I know of one 'grandpa' shareholder who will be asking questions at the AGM.
Help. That annoying squeaky voice. Who cares about stupid interior colours, it’s how a car drives that matters the most. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I want the interior to be all-black (upholstery and headlining) with all lighting classic BMW red. A bit like a witches cave as someone on the forum described it some time back.
Well I did say what matters the most, but the way that iX looks does it no favours whatsoever. Let’s hope that BMW eventually come up with something that does give us everything... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You're right @Adie - someone in BMW Marketing Dept. must have been on the Waccy Baccy. How to alienate your main customer base in one easy move.
As I've posted elsewhere... I'm minded the video shows where the market is going, whether we dinosaurs like it or not. Are we not seeing the motoring world changing around us? Virtually all cars are now 'diluted', when we consider driving dynamics. Dynamics are not the key element of vehicle ownership. Been going this way for a good few years. 'SUV' says it all really. With many vehicles, it is technology that sets them apart. Now add in EV and where it goes, and who ends up on top, is anyone's guess. Peter
Couldn't have put it better myself and I have only just turned 50... As for who ends up on top I predict Hyundai as I believe they have just signed a deal with Apple..
did anybody catch the M town welcome to the new year video before it was taken down the one where the M2 comp was doing donuts but somebody decided that the M2 comp didn't sound good enough so they dubbed the video with the soundtrack of an Audii/Lambo V10 to make it sound better awesome
Peter sums it up well especially with the SUV comment. That said, both of my boys are into how a car handles - hence me changing springs on both of their cars - so there are some of the younger generation who want more than just “connectivity”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I thought the lightning and filming was quite good even if the story is a bit strange. I don't think that the word 'bullsxxt' needs to be repeated three times, maybe it is to appease the American audience, but that word is still slightly offensive to me. Substituting it with 'nonsense' would have removed nothing from the dramatic impact.
the one thing about that video it reminds me of the time l have spent in the Welt in Munich last time l was there a couple of years ago one of the BMW staff came over and asked me if l wanted to go for a ride around the Welt in the little blue Isetta that you can see in the background at around 40 seconds in l refused the offer and my missus was gutted as she wanted to go for a spin around the Welt in the isetta. l said go and ask him for a spin but she wouldn't
Unfortunately your sons are very much in the minority, most youngsters now have very little interest, it's all about projecting a lifestyle and how much technology is on board...most seem to hate driving!
The video..What an absolute load of tosh ... to put it politely...! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No doubt pushed out to millions by some youthful and svelte good looking overrated ‘social influencer’ who doesn’t know the first thing about anything..!! That’s the power of advertising these days ... Sad.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
