2015!!!! 2015!!! That means I've been without the 'Land for 3 years. How have I not noticed before now??? Really miss the original, so best of luck for the continuing success of the Legacy. 3 years? That means the E91 335d has gone. I'm now enjoying my first ever new car, F36 440i GC. Well, that's not a great start Autofill got the better of me, and put my user name as my real (weekday) name. So no more posts with this username. New account created under my original pseudonym AlwynMike
Welcome back Michael - but less of the 'old'..... I really like the colour [second to black imho ] - what's the full spec?
Old - if the (flat) cap fits.... Car is pretty vanilla. Midnight Blue leather to go with EB. Tow bar Digital Dash Nanny state driver aid And that's it! Would have gone to 19's but don't like diamond cut wheels, but the 18's make for a very compliant comfortable ride, and it still goes round corners fast enough for me! Don't go fast enough to justify the squeaky blue brakes Don't like drug dealer glass No musical taste so stock audio is enough
Welcome back! Nice car, any more pics and spec? heads up display? professional sat nav? auto or manual? and if auto sports auto or normal auto gearbox? Kev
Thanks Peter I'd had enough of dirty diesels, although they have all been trouble free. I fancied going back to a proper petrol for a couple of years, but the 335d hadn't become boring. So it really was change for changes sake, but I'm very pleased with it. Certainly the best all round car I've ever had. Very different to the E91, so much quieter, smoother and more comfortable. Even SWMBO likes it, although she hasn't driven it (thankfully!). Fuel economy is incredible too, not much worse than the 335d. 40mpg is easily had. Drove it up to Aberdeen for my final trip and averaged 41mpg. Downside is 15mpg with the caravan on the back (wince) - about the only time the 335d was better. So much quicker too, and the sound, hmmm, it howls nicely when prodded
Cheers Kev No HUD - at the tine this was being built, there was incompatibility between the HUD and digital dash so you couldnt spec both together. Pro Nav is standard, as is Sports Auto gearbox. Sadly, no manual available otherwise I'd have manual. I prefer a manual box, as I'm old, but the ZF8 is tremendous. Slushy when you want it, but crisp when being used. 3/4 throttle upchanges on the paddles with 3000 - 4000revs on give a satisfying kick in the back. I'll probably get flamed for the picture. I will be at the front of the traffic queue.
You are not the only one who uses more fuel when caravans are towed around. Kills my mpg as well, going too slow to be in 8th gear and having to work the car a bit more to get by the "road blocks". Peter
