Hi all haven't been on here for a while apologies for that. I do check in now and again to catch up with gossip! Hope you are all well? Just ordered a F40 M135i x Drive delivery in March. My current M140i will be in part exchange still having seconds thoughts about not having a six pot which is awesome. I am getting a bit older and the M140i does put a little more grey hair when the back end goes. Lol.

Sounds like an interesting purchase, we will certainly be looking forward to your thoughts and feedback on the F40. Although losing the B58 engine may make me cry.....

We look forward to the photos when it lands

A couple of guys here have them and really rate them, even against the outgoing model

Good to hear from you, Dave. Congratulations on the new car, when it arrives - don't forget the photos. (y)
I'm still using the winter wheels and tyres which you sold me. They've been essential the last few weeks!

When I was up at the Inverness dealer I had a chat with one of the sales guys about the M135i. He was saying that some of their customers were rating the new model, as it was more suited to their driving needs. xDrive a major part of it, up here.

I'll be following this thread with interest. I'm taking a sideways look for my next car and the M135i has caught my eye.

This was the example they had outside.

That's a nice example. The x drive really made done deal for me. The Mrs would feel more comfortable driving in the wet and snow if we have any down south Lol. To be honest not the best looking but some how it does grow on you. If the M140i had x drive I would certainly keep it. But that 6 pot..............!:wobble:.

I was never sure why we didn’t get the M140ix over here, would have been a no brainer.

I have gone for black sapphire pro pack which has the 19' 552M double spoke bicolour style, but they are run flat!

I bought one of these second-hand a couple of months ago and have had no regrets. I can't compare it to a M140i but it suits me and the wife fine - it's a fast hatchback with all the usual refinement, power delivery and handling capability of a BMW which are attributes both she and I have taken for granted over the years.

Living with it has thrown up a couple of minor irritations such as there is no air-con switch - you have to tell it to switch it on or go through the i-drive settings; bizarre! And not having a rear armrest is just downright penny-pinching.

Something else and just as bizarre, no one outside a BMW dealership can as yet supply new wiper blades.

Hi Mark, Thanks for your comments I am looking forward to the new M135i as a different car altogether if you see what I mean. I do love the M140i engine and the rear wheel drive experience. I have enjoyed the last 2 1/2 years with her but now looks dated and with the older tech. I think I purchase at a good time the M140i got me a great deal as she kept her value well. Time to move on and start enjoying newer models.
Didn't notice the non AC switch..!

I will ask for extra wipers from the dealer to sweeten the deal. lol
