320d engine noise

    Car just started making this noise is it timing chain or worse any help is appreciated thanks YouTube video of the noise

    Glad you have got it booked in for the timing chain but have you had the car long.

    Sounds like the tensioner might have failed
    I think if it slips a tooth on the chain it keeps the valves open and won’t start.
    But I could be wrong

    I know of a good place just off the A12 if you can get it there does them all the time ex Bmw senior tech. Might be worth a call he does them in a day or less
