well it seems over the last week or so the UK has gone crazy, and everybody is buying far more toilet paper than they ever used to and l for one have been wondering why, the C word virus is more likely to give you a runny nose than a runny bottom but tonight the penny has dropped because of all the hysteria in the UK at present one person sneezes and one hundred people Shit themselves and that is why the supermarket shelves look like this
Herd mentality I’d imagine. The scenes at Costco yesterday, seem on the news, were utterly ridiculous. No paracetamol in any shop I went into yesterday, that one i can understand, seems that everyone is assuming they will contract the full virus. We will be painting red crosses on the infected doors next......unclean....unclean.....!
Not loo rolls but... Buy 1 get 1 free ... plus a nice donation to charity! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HAND-SAN...479534?hash=item2890598c2e:g:30UAAOSwW8lebVNE
yesterday l was reading about a guy in america who spent days gong around with his brother buying up all the stocks of hand santiser and amassed around 17700 bottles and listed them all on amazon marketplace and e bay at massively inflated prices amazon pulled all hs listing saying they would not allow sellers to make huge profits from a public health crisis e bay america has banned all sales of hand santiser and face masks and the guy is now moaning that he has nowhere to sell his immoral haul Shame
My missus has told me stockpile on paintbrushes as if we have to self isolate it seems I may as well get on with some decorating. Bloody Chinese have a lot to answer for.....
Absolutely cracking... Love it.... I have chronic asthma which is controlled by 2 inhalers, and some tablets.... ( daily) looks like I could be spending some considerable time off work this summer..If I don’t end up actually dying.... and my boss is kind enough to keep paying me something... the garden and house should look absolutely bloody amazing.... Fellow asthma sufferer here. The last cold I caught in September gave me a pretty nasty chest infection, dreading the thought of this buggar getting hold. The boss has kindly told me to stay away from the schools that have suspected cases. I managed 12 schools across midlands area, so not the best of localities for germs at the best of times.
Me too.. Quite worried about it really... don’t know what to think... my heads a bit all over the place with it... will my boss pay me.. what can I do at home..? Not that much in reality.. my jobs quite hands on, with small teams of 3 and 4 at a time... and in the aviation industry...!!!!!! Flipping marvellous.. Will have to see how it pans out... I’m sure I will know soon... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guarantee most of those toilet rolls will be going onto the shelves at a higher than normal price in some corner shop . Never seen all the local supermarkets shelves so empty and the problem is compounded by most of the leading supermarket chains re supplying the larger superstores first, leaving the smaller ones at the back of the queue. This panic buying is ridiculous and completely unnecessary . It s not the C Virus causing all these problems , it s the people buying into the Media Scare stories .
we only venture to the shops around once a fortnight and buy enough stuff to last two weeks and then get fresh bread and milk at the local co-op and some fresh veg so wll be a while before we have to hit the shops again so lets hope things settle down by then
A few years ago, a corner shop tried to put up bottled water price to about (I think) £6 after a flood in a town where a friend lived. The shop was boycotted by the locals and the owner had to eventually leave. Greed is a terrible characteristic!
Especially when it's on the back of someone else's misery. I hope that a similar thing happens to all the hoarders that are doing it for profit.
