Tried a bromine before buying a second hand Dahon P8 for £300. The 16" wheels of the brommie are no match for the 20's of the Dahon. It rides more like a full size bike but the fold is bigger. Still small enough for the commute, but I literally stepped off at Paddington, and opened it back out again.
Managed to fit the new bars last night. First impressions are they don't suit this road orientated hybrid commuter, but yet to have a ride. The bars are 760mm wide (same as those fitted to the Cube 29er). The bars on this Giant Rapid were only 700mm wide. Tell me what you think, and I will update once a test ride has been done over the weekend. Also toying with the idea of bringing the D bar up vertically to use as a alternative hand position.
