I also have a heart condition and was whisked into hospital last November with severe oxygen deficit due to lungs filling with fluid. I was back in hospital last Friday (13th ) for treatment. I was just hoping that I didn't come out with more than I went in with. Due to go back in a couple of weeks time - once I can find a WW2 gas mask and Hazmat suit.

Thanks to all the panic buying, I ran out of bog roll today. Can't use newspaper like we used to do when times were hard as apparently it blocks the sewers. Had to use lettuce leaves instead. Today was the tip of the iceberg...

back in the day newspaper was the go to paper to hang on the nail

but the reason you cant use newspaper anymore is because they print so much rubbish in the papers these days you would end up with more crap on your arse when you had finished than you had when you started

yes get in. after many miles traipsing around the shops l managed to bag the last five toilet rolls that the local corner shop had in stock but when l arrived home and proudly stacked them on the worktop the missus came in and went mental saying what the hell did you buy that for

"IZAL - the non absorbent toilet paper". Good for putting a shine on your shoes, though. :getmecoat:

If you think about the advancements in technology.... we’ve gone from no mobile telephone, to a fully fledged microcomputer in the palm of your hand .....
And in the same time from greaseproof toilet paper to simply absorbent paper.....
    Staggering really the stark difference....
by now we should really have developed something that meant you didn’t need to wipe your backside with anything...it was all done for you by some gizmo gadget...... if you get my drift..

Or have a bidet installed? So many Brits on holiday thought that it was a 'foot bath'. :D

Bargain!! :D. I hope the water's heated, otherwise it could cause thermal shock.

Having been to Japan I can say that they are the greatest toilets I have ever used, even with a water temp setting and air blow to dry you off. Can even get the power up to have a little colonic going on too. You can buy jap toilet seats over here, but you need them plumbing and wiring in. Was tempted though.

I am just back from the Philippines, having spent most of the three weeks at Mrs Mc mothers house, where they have no tissue and use a hose attachment. Infact they are shocked (disgusted even) we use dry tissue only.

Mrs Mc being a French Philippino bidet or hose she isnt that bothered, that said the cold water from my garden tap via hose pipe is certainly going to be a bit of a shocker, and I hope i have the hose gun twisted to the right setting. (actually we have plenty of roll left thank God)

I have had to say at work that anyone who runs out at home must ask if they can have a roll from work, and do not be tempted to take any without permission.
