    A blue X6M blasted past me on the M40 this morning.
    I have to say that the looks have not got any better in v2 ......the rear of the car is an ostentatious mess.
    Obviously only my opinion, but it is hideous. I’m just thankful I didn’t see the front view.....

    BMW styling sucks nowadays , sad to see. You would nt look back at that after parking , you d walk away pretending it was nt yours .

    We may (just may) be overlooking something here - if you're sitting inside and the driving experience is good as far as comfort, handing etc, who cares what the rest of the world thinks?

    Who cares indeed. Even if I found it comfortable and handling was top notch, I still couldn't buy it because I think it's ugly on the outside. Surely I'd have to like it too, to want to buy it?

    You'd think so. My observation looking around any car park these days, most of the current motor fleet hasn't been blessed with good looks. Designs are much too stark, ugly and/or overdone. To me for no reason, other than because they can.

    It would be a boring old world if we all had the same taste in car design.
    Clearly I’m not a fan of this “car”, but then I’m generally not an SUV fan either. Need more room? Buy an estate car.........

    I have seen a few X6M's on the road, and you do have to ask "WHY?" Really just a Grand Tourer on steroids. But each to their own. I wouldn't like to pay the fuel bill, but it might be fun pressing the loud pedal for a while. I would be inclined to describe it like the line from Predator "It's one UGLY MUTHA F##KER"

    600bhp for the “standard” X6M and 617bhp for the “competition”. Gulp.
    No wonder it flew past me.
