I've treated myself to a K4 and bought the 15m rubber hose to go on it from Q Washers. Thanks for the help and info lads.

Well, you only live once! Might as well have some fun toys.

I never got around to using my Safe Jack/Stand thing. It looks the business but I had to pass this year. I was abroad when we had the March snow and come the second week of April on my return, I thought it practical to get Van Man to come round and do both in one sitting. Maybe I'll get to have a go in the Autumn.

The K4 is a great bit of kit,but the standard hose is way to short to clean a car without constant faff. This is the hose they should be selling it with (even as a £50 option)

I've given the K4 the once over after assembling it and I must say, it does seem the business.

I've got a snow foam lance on the way and a water purification cartridge set up for a wash with an air dry, to try out. Should be a fun week.

I do hope you have more luck with Q washers than yo did with direct hose, I am sure you will and you will have your new hose in a couple of days

the long hoses do make the job of cleaning easier as you are not having to drag the washer around with you

snow foam certainly gets some comments from the neighbors when you cover the car with what looks like shaving foam

A parcel arrived today with a new Nilfisk Power Patio Cleaner for my KEW industrial pressure washer. My original Nilfisk patio cleaner is not functioning properly - the spinning jet bar has gradually slowed down so that it takes some time to do each stone flag. Now, I'm not one to throw anything away if it can fixed or reconditioned, and I had spent an afternoon stripping, cleaning and back flushing the old one, but to no avail. A total waste of time! :(

So attached the new cleaning head and it was brilliant. So easy it transformed the stonework by removing the algae and turning it back to new. So money well spent - having the right tools for the job makes a world of difference. The cleaner comes with a couple of extra jets that are more aggressive, but these weren't needed as the standard ones did the job. :)
