On my industrial KEW (Nilfisk) it has the 7M rubber hose, plus a 7M extension rubber hose that doubles the length. I only use the extension if I'm cleaning the driveway and stone paving at the front of the house - ideal as the Jetwash unit can be left in one place. The reinforced rubber hose is the best option IMO - it never kinks so it's worth spending the extra dosh.
My little 110 doesn't have a reel. That did confuse me a bit at first, but the seller provided enough info for me to chose safely. I'm going to have some fun later in the week. I've also bought what looks like a nifty little axle stand that can be incorporated into a trolley jack. That's coming from America. Well, you only live once......
Do you mean one of these Harry https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=r...C&biw=1024&bih=672&dpr=2#imgrc=i1Yo-dwZecgHfM: Cracking idea.... I've thought about one myself for my van and sons car....would need to drive the 6 series onto ramps to get this underneath though....
Yes. Exactly that. Since the heart attack I have paid someone to swap the wheels over. But I'm feeling a bit stronger and braver as I get older! Positioning an axle stand under either car is not impossible but sometimes tricky and always a gamble. I think this might be the answer. It won't need it to support the car on its own or for long periods, just catch it if the jack lowers itself. I can see how that might be a squeeze on a Six.
The Rennstand looks to be a fantastic idea, i have looked at them in the past but i am not sure that it would fit under the F07 5GT i had to get a low entry jack as the standard three ton Yankee jack that i had would not easily fit under the car with a jack block on it let us know how you get on with the rennstand when it arrives
Am liking the Rennstand too, looks a very clever idea and I'm another who might benefit from it due to health reasons. Look forward to the review.
Those rennstands make life easy! Another that is looking forward to your review. The new rubber hose arrived today, but won't have a chance to fit and test until Thursday, as busy with work
@mach one.... I have 2 ramps that I use to level the camper van on...I put those under both wheels of the side or end that I am working on, and jack up from there...
that sounds like a good idea the motorhome leveling ramps are not that expensive and may give the extra height required to get a rennstand under the jacking point, thanks to @slim_boy_fat i now have a really good quality low entrty trolley jack that he ordered from costco for me so basic jacking is now not a problem and i just hold the jack block in place and slide in the trolley jack Arcon trolley jack that is the one that i have got now and it is awesome compared to the old yankee jack that i had
@mach one - tried the new 15M rubber hose out on the patio as a quick test and it works perfectly. The connectors are of good quality with no leaks from either end. I'm very pleased. Thanks for bringing this to my attention All we need is some spring like weather ....
You're right there! I was washing the car this afternoon and the wind was like a frozen dagger - Brrrrr!
mine is fitted an ready to go but the cold weather is keeping me indoors, i had Monday Tuesday off and both days were dry but freezing cold i did get kited up and went out but the prospect of crawling around on the floor doing the wheels when i was already nithered was not my first choice of things to do on my day off so cup of tea and back to the warmth of the lounge to watch some daytime tv
I did both cars on Sunday. 4 layers on top + cycling snug + beany hat Cycling leggings under trackies + 2 pairs of socks
I work outside everyday and it has been a wet and cold winter and it is not over yet, so i grab every opportunity i get to spend a bit of my down time in the warm and getting togged up in thermals and waterproofs to go out and clean the car has not been high on the list this year, the car has been snow foamed and rinsed off and that has kept it at an acceptable level but it has not had a proper contact was since November and the winter wheels are minging and the one part of the car that needs some urgent TLC and the area that will be tackled first and if i get a dry day this weekend i will definitely get on it
